William "Bill" L. Priesmeyer, a cherished husband, beloved family member, and respected community leader, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025, in his hometown of Bradenton, FL, at the age of 79. Born on June 4, 1946, in Bradenton, Bill's life was marked by his loving nature, infectious humor, and an adventurous spirit that touched all who knew him.

Bill's formative years were spent in the warm embrace of the Bradenton community where he graduated from Manatee High School in 1965. He furthered his education at Manatee Junior College, where he received an AA degree in Civil Engineering, a field that would define much of his professional life. Bill's career was a testament to his dedication to the environment and his community. As the Director of Pollution Control of Manatee County and the person in charge of Water Quality Control, he worked tirelessly to ensure a cleaner and safer environment for all. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to become the owner of Pipeline Contractor Services, where he continued to make significant contributions to his field.

Bill shared a beautiful life with his loving wife, Kathy Priesmeyer, who stood by him through all of life's adventures. He is also survived by a circle of family who were dear to him: his sister-in-law Lesley and her husband Grady Caffin, sister-in-law Janice and her husband Gary Bogart, his nieces Leah and her husband Matt Baer, Liz Bogart, Hannah Bogart, and his great-nephew CJ, as well as his beloved great-nephew Owen, who brought immense joy to his life.

A man of deep Christian faith, Bill lived his life with a sense of purpose and service. His interests were as varied as they were numerous. He was an avid traveler who explored the world, a passionate hunter and fisherman who loved the great outdoors, and an enthusiastic ATV and racing fan. His love for military museums reflected his deep respect for those who served, and his interest in vintage cars often saw him tinkering with engines and attending car shows. As a life member of the National Rifle Association, Bill stood firm in his convictions and was always willing to engage in thoughtful discussion on the matters he held dear.

Those who knew Bill would describe him as a loving husband, a man with a quick wit and a ready laugh, and an adventurer at heart. His presence was a source of strength and joy for his family and friends, and his legacy will be carried forward in the stories they share and the memories they cherish.

Bill's life was a journey well-traveled, and while his passing leaves a void, the imprints of his footsteps will forever be etched in the hearts of those he loved and the community he served. As we bid farewell to William "Bill" L. Priesmeyer, we do so with gratitude for the time we shared with him and the laughter, love, and adventure he brought into our lives. His spirit will continue to guide us, just as the stars guide the ships at sea. Rest in peace, Bill, until we meet again.
