BRADENTON – Skate-fans rejoice. Astro Skate of Bradenton is rolling out the new adult-only skate night this Saturday, July 16. That’s right, an 18 and up late-skate for the older kids!
Doors and floor open at 10:30 p.m. and skating rolls through to 1:00 a.m. Entry is $8 plus the cost of skate rental ($3 for regular skates, $4 for speed skates/roller blades)
A DJ will be playing the tunes you cruised to in your younger years–all genres from across the ages. Take a trip down memory lane with skate-tune favorites of the '70s, '80s, and '90s.
Attendees will enjoy games, assigned skates (backward skate, couples skate, etc.), and all the fun and nostalgia you would expect at a late-night skate. Full concession bar offerings as well.
Astro Skate hopes this Saturday’s kickoff will be a huge success and vows that "if adults keep coming, we’ll keep hosting," possibly every Saturday night from now through the end of August (depending on attendance).
Astro Skate is located at 3611 3rd Street West in Bradenton.
