BRADENTON – Students returned to Southeast High School in Bradenton on Tuesday to news that two recent graduates had been killed in a motorbike crash the previous Friday, while visiting Peru.

Albert Ales and Zachary Morris, both 18 and graduates of the school's International Baccalaureate program, had been traveling by motorbike to visit Saqsaywaman archeological park in Cusco when they collided with a bus. Both young men were transported to intensive care but died within hours from injuries sustained in the collision, according to Peruvian news reports.

"The sudden loss of recent Southeast High graduates Albert Ales and Zachary Morris is a heartbreaking tragedy," said Manatee Schools Superintendent Cynthia Saunders in a statement. "Our prayers and condolences are with their families, friends, classmates and the entire Southeast High community."
