BRADENTON – Fresh off her recent showing in Rome (pictured below), Bradenton native Marcile Powers will be showing a diverse collection of her work at a special birthday art show in St. Petersburg May 30. Powers' live projection of animated art will be accompanied by live guitar music by Dr. Joshua Kreithen, a Lakewoord Ranch physician/musician.
The show will take place at the DeLucia Italian Bakery and Café in downtown St. Petersburg on May 30th, 2014 from 7pm-10pm. DeLucia is a new authentic Italian bakery that is meant to compliment the local artist’s trip overseas (blog previously posted on The Bradenton Times).
Marcile defines her overall collection of artwork as cybernetic. She works with fractals, mandalas and other forms of sacred geometry as well as paints other worldly environments in all mediums. For the first time, a large variety of Marcile’s work will be on display rather than just one series of her pieces.
The event is free, so come out and support the local arts scene while enjoying the culture of Southwest Florida.
