BRADENTON – Costco, the second largest retailer in the world behind Walmart, will open its long-awaited Manatee County location at 805 Lighthouse Drive in Heritage Harbour, behind the northeast corner of the State Road 64 and I-75 intersection, on Thursday, August 21 at 8 a.m.
The company, which was founded in Washington in 1976, operates on a membership-only business model similar to Sam's Club.
There will be new member promotional offers. New Executive members will receive a $20 Costco cash card. New Gold Star and Business members will receive a cash card for $10.
