Carol Ann (Vuksta) Fairchild, 80, passed away in Bradenton, Florida on July 20, 2022.
Carol was the loving wife of Daryl R. Fairchild with whom she shared 32 years of marriage. Carol was predeceased by her first husband, George 'Jerry' Bernard, in 1988. Carol was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania on December 24, 1941, and was the daughter of the late John and Veronica (Stickevers) Vuksta.
Carol graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School in 1959 and Cedar Crest College in 1963. Carol was an elementary school teacher in the Allentown School District for 35 years. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling with Daryl, particularly cruising. They completed three world cruises and she cherished those memories of seeing the world.
Carol is survived by her daughter Susan, wife of Brian Guth, Severna Park, Maryland; sister Jane Kintz, Sarasota, Florida, niece Julie Bonner wife of Jeff Brack, Tucson, AZ; step-son Ray Fairchild husband of Leann, Bloomington, Illinois; step-daughter, Sabrina Fairchild of Bloomington, Illinois; step-son Daniel Fairchild, Sarasota, Florida; step-daughter Angela Fairchild, Bradenton FL; and six step-grandchildren, Ali, Cari, Alyssa, Lauren, Tori, and Megan. She is also survived by her grand-dog, Ollie.
Services will be announced at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to: the Humane Society of Manatee County, the American Cancer Society, or the Alzheimer's Association. Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Manasota Memorial Park are in charge of arrangements.
