Caron Alff

Posted

Caron Alff, sixty-three years of age, peacefully passed on Friday, May 10, 2024. Carole Alff, Mother and Chris Strickling, sister were by her side. Caron is survived by her brother Doug Alff, a neice, 2 nephews, and numerous cousins. She was preceeded in death by her father, Charles Alff.

Caron, a graduate of Reynoldsburg High School/Eastland Vocational, spent nearly 30 years in the printing industry. Caron spent the majority of her life in the Bradenton, Florida area. She loved the water, boating, fishing, skiing, airboating, and shell hunting. She had told a story of a time she out ran a water spout a couple times.

She spent several years feeding a manatee named "Snooty" twice a day. Caron and Snooty got to know each other better during the evening visit as she would have more time. She was an animal whisperer of sorts, particularly with cats. She had so many cats over her lifetime, but it was Taylor she had a special bond.

Caron was always kind and generous. She gave care to friends after surgeries and illnesses. She would provide transportation to medical appointments when needed. Caron always tried to keep an upbeat demeanor and used her sense of humor to keep things light.

The staff in the Manatee Memorial Hospital Cardiac Care Unit gave Caron the best care anyone could ask for. They have one of the toughest jobs around and they do it with such skill and compassion. It is a comfort to know they did not deny Caron any medical care and gave her the utmost respect.

Thank you to Duane, for being there for Caron and her family over the past number years.
