Cell tower story clarification

In the Sept. 23 story headlined "Commission moves forward on cell tower rules," the following sentence appeared.

"County Commissioner Donna Hayes again told the residents, many of whom were angry at her about the letter that she had read at the last meeting, that she was just reading a letter from one person to another reporting on the events at a community meeting, and not expressing her views."

The letter in question was written by a staffer in the county's Planning Department, Hayes said Monday morning, was part of the record and she wanted to emphasize that it was an official correspondence.
