BRADENTON – Fire Fighter Cancer Awareness Month in January provides tools for life-saving prevention and support for those who may have received a cancer diagnosis.
Through continuous training and education, the BFD actively implements cancer prevention methods to minimize the risk of cancer diagnoses for all fire suppression personnel.
Our newly constructed BFD Station #3 was intentionally designed to reduce the risk of carcinogen contact by separating the living quarters from exposed bunker gear and extraction equipment.
