City of Bradenton and Pirates Organization to Team up for 4th of July Hot Dog Eating Contest

BRADENTON — The City of Bradenton is partnering with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Bradenton Marauders for what we hope will become an Independence Day staple: the Bradenton Baseball Mayor’s Classic Hot Dog Eating Contest.

We are looking for 20 competitors willing to take on the challenge of downing as many hot dogs as possible in 10 minutes. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Bradenton Blue Foundation, the charitable arm of the Bradenton Police Department.
