BRADENTON – Two City of Bradenton officials were recently recognized by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA presented a Bronze Medal for Superior Service to Timothy Polk, Bradenton's Planning and Community Services Director; and Volker Reiss, the city's Compliance Manager.
The award was in recognition for their work on Tamiami Trail Manatee and the Sarasota County Petroleum Corridor Team.
The team was recognized for their extraordinary efforts to achieve environmental protection and provide economic benefits for communities along the Tamiami Trail through collaboration, creativity and innovation.
