BRADENTON – On July 26th Special Olympics Florida held their Leadership Conference at Mission Inn at Howy in the Hills FL. Manatee County Special Olympics was honored to receive 2 awards. The Bill Crutchfield Award went to Pam Fazio for Outstanding and Distinguished Service, and having dynamic positive influence upon the lives of people with intellectual disabilities and high commitment to the mission of Special Olympics and human dignity in Florida.
The second award was honored to The Merchant Family (Eileen & Kristy) for the Kathy Graybeal Family of the Year Award, which is is presented to the family who makes a unique and lasting contribution to the lives of people with intellectual disabilities through their involvement with Special Olympics.
