SARASOTA – The VFW Post #3233 recently donated $11,500 to Community Haven thanks to their successful 3rd Annual Golf Tournament. 100% of the golf tournament proceeds benefit clients with disabilities served by Community Haven located at 4405 DeSoto Road, Sarasota, FL.

“This is the 3rd year that the Men’s Auxiliary has held a golf tournament for Community Haven,” stated Marla Doss, President and CEO at Community Haven, “and every year it gets bigger and better than the last.” The day ended with steak dinners at VFW Post #3233 on Tuttle at the Rolling Green Golf Course where the players gathered to raise extra money with raffle prizes and an auction. “The men, women, and families of VFW #3233 get it!” says Thomas Hull, father of Matthew, 25, who was born with cerebral palsy and sparkling blue eyes that will melt your heart. “They know how to come together and serve.”

Hole sponsors were Icard Merrill ($1,000 or more), Autobahn Express ($500) and SRQ Lending ($500). Gold Level Sponsors ($250+) included Marina Jack, Sunset Chevrolet Buick GMC,  Suncoast Motorsports VW Audi Porsche, and Felixone, Inc. Community Haven would like to thank the Men’s Auxiliary of VFW Post #3233 and corporate sponsors for their continued partnership and support of our agency and the over 700+ children, teens, and adults we lovingly serve.
