Council Corner: Bill Sanders, Ward 4

Posted
Bradenton’s Riverwalk extension and new park will soon be completed. Many people are already visiting the park and are happy with its design and usefulness in the community. Soon you will see the extension be completed with a total of 3 miles of Riverwalk.

September 10 is a tentative scheduled date for the Grand Opening to include a ceremony, music, food and drink. In addition, Councilman Sanders has championed the 2nd Ave. Extension from Bradenton Castle to downtown as the connector through the park to downtown.
With 2nd Ave.’s beautiful canopy of trees, new sidewalks, and lighting, the area will be a premier area for citizens to walk, ride and enjoy our beautiful city through our historic area of Glazier/Gates founders, historic Manatee museum and the Reflections of Manatee (Angola history).

Please watch for updates as progress becomes noticeable between now and the grand opening.
