Myakka City, Florida - Coyt Lee Holifield of Myakka City, Florida died in a motor vehicle accident on January 24, 2024 at the age of 29. Coyt was born on July 22, 1994, in Sarasota, Florida. Coyt was handsome, brilliant, funny and kind hearted. He was a talented violinist. He loved to cook, garden, fish, do Jiu-Jitsu, write rap music and spend time with friends and family.

He graduated from the International Baccalaureate Program at Southeast High School in Bradenton, Florida in 2012. In high school, he played violin in the orchestra, ran cross-country track, and was involved in the Southeast High School Televison Club where he filmed live sporting events, talk shows and awards ceremonies. Coyt attended Florida State University for several years and remained a huge Seminole's fan.

In the past, he worked building pools where he learned to lay tile. He spent years in the food service industry at numerous restaurants including Carrabbas Italian Grill, Outback Steakhouse, Anna Maria Oyster Bar, Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant, Red Lobster, Main Street Trattoria, Papa Johns and Pizza Hut. Most recently, he was working at the Hay Barn in Myakka City and had started his own business CLH Tile.

Coyt is survived by his parents, David and Donna Holifield, aunt, Sandy Cilone (husband, Pete), paternal grandmother, Margaret Furby, aunt, Lynne Watson, girlfriend, Devon Aiken, his furbabies, Luna and Cookie and numerous cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Eldon and Peggy Webb, paternal grandfather, James "Cecil" Holifield, his step-grandfather, Joe Furby and his best friend, Ryan Leverenz.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Harvest United Methodist Church located at 14305 Covenant Way, Lakewood Ranch, FL 34202.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to either of the following organizations: Satchel's Last Resort Animal Shelter and Sanctuary
