Doug Deming & The Jewel Tones at Inner Compass Brewing Company

Born and raised on Detroit's east side, Doug Deming now calls Florida's west coast home. After years of honing his skills in Detroit, Doug and his group were recruited to back many of the days top artists on the touring blues circuit - including The Fabulous Thunderbirds frontman Kim Wilson, the legendary Louisiana swamp blues man Lazy Lester, as well as Chicago great Johnny 'YardDog' Jones and Detroit's own Alberta Adams. Doug still tours with them as schedules allow.

About the venue:

Inner Compass Brewing Company was initially established in 2014 in Sanford, Florida, where two business associates created the concept. The establishment was closed with the decision to move closer to the family in Bradenton and reopen once the location was identified. The head brewer and his family then moved to Bradenton, and the process began. Due to the market volatility, it took time to locate just the “right” spot to build and to begin construction. With love and devotion from all our family and friends we have created our dream. It’s taken us over two years to construct our 7500 sq. ft. building which houses 2500 sq. ft. of brewhouse space, 2500 sq. ft. of taproom space, five hundred additional feet of space for an event room that can be closed off to the rest of the taproom for special occasions, which has its own smaller bar. This bar can also serve the outside patio with an additional 36-plus seats and an area for outside entertainment.
