Douglas Hilliard Crook, 79, of Bradenton, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022.

Doug was born and raised in Balboa, Canal Zone in Panam‡ to Wilson Hord Crook and Phyllis Hersh Crook. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1960-1966 BT3rd (2 yrs., Active Service, 2 yrs. Ready Reserves and 2 yrs. Reserves), attended St. Petersburg Jr. College for his A.A. and continued to the University of South Florida to earn his B.A. in Business.

He was an engineer by trade and worked and retired from Tropicana Products as their "Master Squeezer" and helped to revolutionize orange fruit processing. Doug was very devoted to his family and consistently went above and beyond the call of duty with respect to caring for and supporting his family. Doug was well-loved by many and known for his kindness and humor.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Roselynne Guthrie; brother, Michael Hersh Crook and his parents. He is survived by his son, Michael D.; daughter, Johanna Crook Beville; son-in-law, William D. Beville and twin sister, Phyllis Fiore.

A celebration of life will be held at his home in Florida with his friends and family, to be determined at a later date. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel is in charge.
