Elizabeth "Betty" Beaver, 90, of Bradenton, Florida, and formerly of Crozet, Virginia, passed away on August 12, 2022.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Snook of Charlottesville, Virginia; her son, Andrew Beaver of Bedford, Texas; and her brother, Schiller (Ted) Kleinschmidt of Bay City, Michigan; as well as 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Betty was born in 1931 to Schiller and Emma Kleinschmidt in Bay City, Michigan. She began her career at the Dow Chemical Company in Midland, Michigan, where she met her future husband, Garth H. Beaver. They were married in 1954 and made their home in Midland, Michigan until 1998, when they retired to Bradenton, Florida.

Betty was a devoted wife and mother, who selflessly served her family and others. She was a passionate writer and skilled communicator. She was dependable, organized, hard-working, and loyal. Betty loved to write letters, work crossword puzzles, play cards, publish church and community newsletters, bake desserts, and listen to worship music. She compiled an extensive family history and genealogy spanning five generations. Betty was kindhearted and compassionate and excelled at Christian service, including at the Midland Reformed Church and then later at the Bradenton Christian Reformed Church. Her faith was strong to the very end, despite dementia and failing health.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Garth H. Beaver; parents, Schiller and Emma Kleinschmidt; and sister, Barbara Lippie.

A graveside committal will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery on August 25, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West Bradenton, FL 34209 is in charge of the arrangements.
