Eva Mae Tynes-Presley was born November 16, 1950, in Bradenton, Florida, to the late Tom Weissinger and Janie E. Tynes-Corbett-Williams.

Eva accepted Christ and was baptized at a young age here in Bradenton as a member of the Church of Christ.

Eva was a loving, straight forward person who loved the Lord, her family, and friends. Eva grew up in Manatee County, where she attended public schools. After graduation, she then went on to further her education at Southwestern University.

Eva returned to Manatee County to work several jobs before beginning her career at the Manatee County School Board, where she retired after serving thirty-three years.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Tom Weissinger and Janie Tynes-Williams, and two sisters, Audrey Gail Tynes Harris-Lyon and Rose Thomas.

Eva leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter, Cecilia Cummings-Douglas (Ceasar) of Bradenton, FL; Son: Shelton Cummings; two granddaughters, Chiquita (Nana) Heaven and Celicia Douglas, both of Bradenton, FL; three grandsons, Corey Grier, Jr., Quency Cummings, and Jeremiah Howard Cummings, all of Bradenton, FL; one great-granddaughter, C'Maine Heaven of Bradenton, FL; one grand-dog, Jay of Bradenton, FL; three nieces, Felicia Harris-Castoro (John) of Sarasota, FL, Flora Thomas, and Arlectra Thomas of Selma, AL; four nephews, Curtis Harris of Tampa, FL, Alex Thomas, Willie Thomas, and Francis Thomas, all of Selma, AL; and a host of cousinsand friends, including special cousins, Pearl Mae and Isabelle Hall, and two special friends, Mae Francis Patterson and friend and sister-in-Christ, Mattie Cheaves.
