Hunter Biden Convicted on 3 Felony Gun Charges

Posted

WILMINGTON — On Tuesday, jurors found Hunter Biden guilty of lying to a federally licensed gun dealer, making a false claim on the application by saying he did not use illegal drugs and then illegally having the gun for at least 11 days.

Hunter Biden's ex-wife and a former girlfriend were key witnesses. Both testified about finding his crack pipes and other drug paraphernalia. Excerpts from Hunter Biden's memoir, which detailed his addiction to crack cocaine during that time, were also read to jurors.

"No one in this country is above the law," said special counsel David Weiss, the prosecutor who has led the long-running federal investigation into Biden.

A sentencing date has not yet been set. The President's son faces up to 25 years in prison. However, as a first-time offender, he is unlikely to get a sentence anywhere near the maximum and may not face jail time at all.
