Local Churches Join to Put on Fall Festival in Parrish

Posted
PARRISH – On Sunday, there will be a free fall festival on the grounds of Parrish United Methodist Church. St Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, First Baptist, Parrish, and Harvest Field Community Church are all joining forces with PUMC to make this a truly memorable event.

"While the Fall Festival will be filled with family-friendly fun, our prayers remain with those rebuilding following the devastating impact of Hurricane Ian," PUMC said in a press release announcing the event. "A fundraising campaign will take place during the festival. Community members and local businesses can make cash or check donations (made payable to Parrish United Methodist Church, memo: Hurricane Ian Disaster Relief).

Other activities will include:
  • Lively music by DJ Waldo
  • Animals from Second Chance Ranch
  • Parrish Fire Department Bounce House/Slide
  • Hayrides
  • Face Painting
  • Pumpkin Decorating (donated by Detwiler’s Farm Market)
  • Games
  • Raffle Prizes
  • Inflatable Corn Maze
  • Food Trucks – North River Pizza, Fat & Happy BBQ & Ryan’s Coffee
And more!

"With the passing of this devastating storm, we are looking forward to providing the community with a special day to celebrate family, gather with friends and neighbors, and usher in the fall season," said PUMC Pastor Chris Schmidt. The chance to collaborate with neighboring churches is truly a blessing.“

Parrish United Methodist Church was founded in the late 1800s. Shortly thereafter, 1st Baptist - Parrish opened its doors in the early 1900s.
