Manatee County Accepting Applications for Tourist Development Council

MANATEE COUNTY — Manatee County is seeking qualified applicants to fill two openings on its nine-member Tourist Development Council.

The TDC makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners concerning the effective operation of the projects set forth in the Tourist Development Plan and the uses for which Tourist Development Tax revenues may be expended.

Applicants must be an elected municipal official, and at least one must be from the largest municipality in Manatee County (Bradenton). All applicants must be registered voters in Manatee County. Applications are due June 7, 2024, and may be found online at mymanatee.org/advisory_boards.

The Tourist Development Council meets on the third Monday (occasionally the second Monday), every other month at 9 or 9:30 a.m. at varying locations throughout Manatee County. The term length is four years.
