CITIZEN COMMENTS (Continuation of Consideration for Future Agenda Items, if Needed)

Whitmore said the Rubonia Mardi Gras is returning this year, and the commission needs to figure out how they can help. Whitmore said the Sheriff's deputies are their biggest cost and they need to look for some funding to help them out. "It's around $20,000 and maybe the TDC can come up with some funds," Whitmore said, adding that the Sheriff doesn't charge for the De Soto Parade and that "maybe he can give them a break."

DiSabatino said a member in her family is in Rio, playing women's basketball at the Olympics. "She was rookie of the year in Delaware." DiSababino said they have been trying to get the Tourist Development Council (TDC) to come up with some dollars for the Sheriff. "We need to talk to Elliott (TDC director) and see what they might be able to do with Rubonia." She then said Corie Holmes filed a complaint against Pete Logan (Medallion Homes President) for stealing one of his campaign signs.

Smith asked the county administrator not to forget to send out a bulletin for candidates reminding them to pick up their campaign signs within 30 days after the election.
