Manatee County Public Library Introduces Free Streaming Movies and TV

BRADENTON – The Manatee County Public Library System has joined the Library Ideas network of public library websites that offers access to streaming movies and television content.


The Freegal Movies and Television Service allows the library’s registered patrons (library card holders) access to thousands of video selections from the convenience of their personal computer or portable device. Registered card holders can stream up to three videos per week from the service at no cost by clicking on the Freegal link on the library’s homepage www.mymanatee.org/library. Users can start streaming content from Freegal after registering on the site with their library card barcode number.

Popular selections include feature films, TV shows, foreign movies, instructional guides and documentaries, plus content for children. Mobile apps for android and iPhone owners are also available to download on the Freegal site.
