Posted

MANATEE COUNTY – Crime Stoppers will hold its 11th Annual Halloween Safe Kids Night inside the Exhibition Hall at the Manatee County Fairgrounds (across from Palmetto High School), rather than its usual venue, the Bradenton City Auditorium. The event is set for 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Halloween Safe Kids Night is free to the public. Enter through the main entrance on 17th Street West or 14th Avenue West, across from Church on the Rock. The address for the fairgrounds is 1303 17th St. W., Palmetto.

The Braden River Branch Library is pleased to welcome children and their families to a special Halloween event from 6:00 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. The Braden River Branch Library is located at 4915 53rd Avenue East, Bradenton.

The cities of Palmetto and Bradenton, the cities on Anna Maria Island, and Lakewood Ranch do not publish official trick or treat times. The generally observed hours of trick or treating throughout Manatee County have traditionally been 6:30-9:00 p.m.

TBT reminds all drivers to be extra careful tonight and watch for pedestrian ghosts, ghouls and goblins. Parents are urged to make sure their children are visible. An assortment of glow sticks and other light-up devices are available at area Dollar Tree stores and can be a good way to light up your little monster.

Have a Safe and Happy Halloween!
