Manatee River Garden Tour to Take Place on Saturday

BRADENTON - The Manatee River Garden Club will hold its annual Mother's Day Garden Tour on Saturday, May 10, the day before the holiday. The self-guided tour will take attendees through several unique gardens of Bradenton, and a gourmet lunch will also be offered at the clubhouse at 3120 1st Avenue West.

According to the club, the tour was created "to fulfill the purpose ofthe MRGC: to promote and encourage a community of nature enthusiasts who share the love of gardening, horticulture, floral design, environmental concerns and other related endeavors." 

Advance tickets can be purchased for $15; tickets purchased on Saturday will be $20. Along with a gourmet lunch for $8, the clubhouse will also offer a host of vendors on the day of the tour.

The non-profit Manatee River Garden Club was established in 1929, and is a member of Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. and National Garden Clubs, Inc. More information about the club can be found on its website.
