BRADENTON – On back to back days, dispatcher Jessica Littler assisted on two complex cases, one a 90-minute chase involving multiple units that ended all the way in Hillsborough County after deputies responded to a burglary in-progress call; the other a stolen vehicle pursuit that involved multiple crashes. She is the MCSO Employee of the Month for March 2014.
From MCSO:
On March 3, 2014, Jessica Littler was dispatching on a primary radio group, when a vehicle pursuit was initiated by patrol units relating to a burglary in-progress. The pursuit lasted approximately 90 minutes, ending in Hillsborough County. Jessica handled the numerous requests made by units involved, while continuing to monitor and document all of the radio traffic in the computer. The pursuit terminated with three suspects arrested. Throughout the incident, she maintained a calm demeanor and managed all tasks attached to her duties.
On the next day, a stolen vehicle pursuit was initiated, which Jessica was dispatching for that radio group. This incident was complex and involved several traffic crashes caused by the fleeing driver across several jurisdictions. Jessica ensured all crash locations were covered and EMS was summoned as needed. The pursuit ended in a final crash with the suspect taken into custody. Again, she remained calm and professional in the course of her duties.
For her abilities to consistently perform at the highest level, Jessica Littler is awarded Employee of the Month for March 2014.
TBT Salutes Jessica for her service to our community.
