MELBOURNE – The Marauders (14-22) won 11-9 over the Brevard County Manatees (15-19) on Sunday night at Space Coast Stadium. The win gives Bradenton its first four game winning streak of the season and first four-game sweep since 2011.

With the score tied 9-9 in the top of the ninth, Willy Garcia led off with a base hit against Santo Manzanillo (L, 0-4). Garcia moved to second on a groundout by Dan Gamache. Jacob Stallings worked a walk, during which Garcia stole third to put runners at the corners. D.J. Crumlich broke the tie with a sacrifice fly to center field. Stallings went to second on the play and scored on a base hit by Benji Gonzalez.

Tyler Waldron (W, 1-0) earned the win after blowing the save. Waldron surrendered a two-run home run to Ben McMahan in the eighth inning to tie the game. Robbie Kilcrease struck out two in the ninth to earn his sixth save in as many tries.

Bradenton raced out to a 7-1 lead through three innings, capitalizing on five walks by Manatees’ starter Cody Scarpetta. Bradenton led 7-2 into the fifth inning, when Carlos Mesa hit his eighth homer of the season, a solo shot off Stephen Peterson.

The Manatees made the game tight in the sixth inning. Trailing 8-2, Brevard County scored five runs in the frame. Bradenton starter Pat Ludwig left with two down in the inning, and the first three batters to face Zac Fuesser all hit safely before Nick Ramirez  struck out to end the inning.
