JUPITER - The Marauders (27-30) let a 1-0 lead slip away in the ninth, but bounced back for a 2-1 win over the Palm Beach Cardinals (32-28) in 11 innings at Roger Dean Stadiumon Sunday night. Robbie Kilcrease (W, 5-1) blew his first save of the season, but won the game by pitching three innings.

Elias Diaz tripled to lead off the Marauders third against Kyle Hald. Hald pitched seven strong innings, but allowed Diaz to score when Carlos Mesa immediately followed with a double. Bradenton managed just three hits and the one run against the Palm Beach starter. Hald struck out four.

Pat Ludwig struck out seven over six innings in a third straight great start. Kirk Singer tossed a scoreless seventh to get the ball and a 1-0 lead to Kilcrease.

The Cardinals almost equalized the score in the eighth, but Taylor Lewis threw out Charlie Tilson trying to score from second on a Jacob Wilson single. Palm Beach did tag Kilcrease in the ninth, plating a run on a one-out ground rule double by Alex Mejia. Kilcrease stranded the winning run at third to send the game to extras.

Ashley Ponce singled off Iden Nazario (L, 1-4) to start the 11th inning. A sacrifice bunt and a wild pitch moved Ponce to third. After intentionally walking Gift Ngoepe, Nazario was pulled for Logan Billbrough. Billbrough surrendered a go-ahead single to Stetson Allie. Matt Benedict pitched the 11th for Bradenton for his fourth save.

The Marauders stay in Jupiter to face the Hammerheads for four games over the next three days. Monday night will be a doubleheader beginning at 5:05 p.m. Both games will be seven innings long.
