DAYTONA BEACH – The Marauders (58-49, 23-15) rallied from a 7-4 deficit in the eighth inning, plating five runs to defeat the Daytona Cubs (51-55,25-13) 9-7 on Wednesday night at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. The win ended a three game losing streak for the Marauders, snapped a seven game winning streak for the Cubs, and moved Bradenton to within 1.5 games of first place.
Seven of the nine Marauders starters scored a run in the game. Eight out of nine batters had at least one of Bradenton’s 13 hits. Adam Frazier went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored, and two batted in. His bouncing double into shallow center off Zack Godley (L, 3-2) plated the first two runs of the eighth inning for Bradenton. Walker Gourley followed with a two-run single to put the Marauders in front 9-7. Jose Osuna singled Gourley home later in the inning. Osuna finished 2-for-4 with two RBI, extending his hitting streak to nine games in the process.
