Mayor's Corner: City of Bradenton

As we reflect on this year’s Independence Day celebration, I want to thank everyone who helped make it such a memorable evening. Seeing our community gathered along the Manatee River to mark the occasion was a meaningful way to kick off America’s 250th anniversary.

For many months, we talked about making this year’s celebration worthy of such a historic milestone. I’m grateful for the strong partnerships that made that possible.

Thank you to Bradenton Alive for organizing another outstanding event, and to the City of Palmetto, Manatee County, our City employees, public safety personnel, and everyone who worked behind the scenes. Through those partnerships, we were able to expand this year’s Fourth of July celebration and fireworks display, bringing that vision to life.

To everyone who joined us, I hope the evening served as a reminder of the pride we share in our community and our country.
