BRADENTON – Coastal Orthopedics & Sports Medicine/Pain Management is proud to welcome Mark Blechner, M.D. to its Orthopedics division.

Dr. Blechner is a Fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of all conditions of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine including problems related to bone, joint, disc, muscle, tendon or nerve involvement.

He has extensive training and experience in all phases of spine care starting with comprehensive conservative management and progressing to both well-established and newer minimally invasive surgical techniques.

“We are thrilled to have such a highly-trained, experienced orthopedic spine surgeon join our group. Dr. Blechner will be a great addition to our spine care team as well as a great asset to Coastal and the community,” said Coastal Orthopedics President, Dr. Arthur Valadie.

Prior to joining Coastal, Dr. Blechner was a physician with Crossroads Orthopaedic Subspecialists, LLC in Connecticut for nearly 7 years before relocating to sunny Florida. “I am very excited to be a member of the great team here at Coastal Orthopedics. I am looking forward to serving the needs of the community in my specialty field,” he said.

Dr. Blechner attended Yale University and the University Of Connecticut School Of Medicine. He completed an orthopedic surgical residency at Emory University School of Medicine as well as a Spine Surgery Fellowship at UCLA School of Medicine.
