Movers and Shakers: Manatee District Names Craig Little as Principal for Lakewood Ranch HS

Posted

BRADENTON – Superintendent Rick Mills announced last week the proposed appointment of Craig Little as principal for Lakewood Ranch High School. Before he is officially assigned his new role, Little’s appointment must be approved by the School Board of Manatee County.

Little has served as an assistant principal at Lakewood Ranch since 2010. His former positions include serving as an assistant principal at Johnson Middle School from 2007-2010, and as assistant principal at Haile Middle School from 2005-2007. Little was named Administrator of the year at Lakewood Ranch High.

Little and Dave Marshall, the other finalist for the position, interviewed with a committee consisting of district officials and current principals. They also participated in a School Community Forum made up of Lakewood Ranch High School faculty and staff, parents and community members last night. That input and feedback was provided to Superintendent Mills who made the final recommendation for the position.

“We are very excited about Craig Little being named principal at Lakewood Ranch High School,” Superintendent Mills said. “He’s a proven leader at Lakewood Ranch and is in a great position to continue the tradition of excellence at the school.”
