SARASOTA – Workers whose on-the-job injuries have left them permanently disabled now have a uniquely trained partner for home modifications in Statewide Disaster Restoration.
Statewide is now among 145 companies nationwide that have become a Certified Home Assessment and Modification Professional (C.H.A.M.P.) through the respected David Corey Company. Earned by Tim Hartenstein, Statewide’s business development director, the C.H.A.M.P. certification equips contractors with training and education to ensure all home modifications for the permanently disabled are as functional and cost-effective as possible.
“Taking the CHAMPS course gave me valuable insight in to the challenges people with limited mobility face in their homes and work places. It has broadened my view on how to make modifications to fit their specific needs.”
As a C.H.A.M.P.-certified contractor, Statewide Disaster Restoration has committed itself to upholding a higher standard of renovation for home modifications like increased access for wheelchairs. Contractors with a C.H.A.M.P. certification promise to uphold five key principles:
The David Corey Company, based in Fernandina Beach, works with contractors nationwide to ensure that medically necessary home modifications for permanently injured workers are cost-efficient, meet standards of accessibility and fulfill the needs of customers. The company’s motto is to “rebuild lives by rebuilding homes.”
Hartenstein, who has 14 years of experience in restoration, is also certified in Water Damage Restoration, Mold Remediation, and Applied Structural Drying. He is also a Certified Renovator through the Environmental Protection Agency, and a certified biotechnician.
