Posted

BRADENTON — Thursday's BOCC Land Use Meeting (agenda) is full of north county projects. There are requests for zoning changes to increase density; Preliminary Site Plans; Special Approvals that ask for reductions in required tree sizes, set-backs and street sizes. There are specific requests to reduce roadway buffers and deviations from lot shape requirements, as well as a roadway naming request.

The Summer Woods Preservation LLC, which has a project south of Moccasin Wallow Road and west of U.S. 301, filed to amend the Amended Local Development Agreement, requesting an additional 260 residential units be added to the restated 302, which would make for a new total of 562 residential units on the 268-acre parcel.

Schroeder Manatee Ranch has multiple Specific Requests for their Meritage Homes project of 475 residential units off S.R, 64 on Lorraine Road.

Neal Communities is requesting permission to name the streets for their Village of Amazon project of 1999 residential units on the corner of U.S. 301 and the north side of Moccasin Wallow Road.

Item# 11, the Parrot Cove request, is scheduled to be continued to November 6, 2014, and Item# 10, the Lorraine Estates project, has been withdrawn by applicant.
