Northbound I-75 ramp to be closed at I-275

Drivers heading toward St. Petersburg on Sunday night will have to contend with more road work.

The Florida Department of Transportation said the northbound I-75 ramp at I-275 North (exit 228) will be closed from 11 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15, to 5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 16, for bridge deck work.

Motorists in Manatee County traveling on northbound I-75 wishing to exit onto I-275 North (exit 228) are advised to exit onto Moccasin Wallow Road (exit 229), turn left on Moccasin Wallow Road, turn left onto southbound I-75 and proceed onto northbound (west) on I-275 (exit 228). See the map here.

The project consists of replacing the existing bridge deck and barrier walls on the northbound flyover ramp to northbound I-275. Other improvements to the interchange include milling and resurfacing portions of the northbound I-275 flyover ramp.
