Pirates and Marauders To Hold Pep Rally This Saturday In Downtown Bradenton

BRADENTON--The Pittsburgh Pirates and Bradenton Marauders will hold its second annual pep rally on Saturday February 19 between 5:00 and 7:30 p.m. in downtown Bradenton on Old Main Street (12th Street West). The free event will feature player appearances and autographs along with family fun games and prizes.

"We're excited for baseball season to be here," said Pirates Senior Director of Florida Operations Trevor Gooby. "This is a great event for fans to catch that fever with us and come on out and see the Pirates up close and meet their favorite players."

The Pirates Spring Training season begins February 25 when the Bucs take on the State College of Florida Manatees at McKechnie Field at noon. The Major League schedule begins on February 27 against the Tampa Bay Rays at 1:05. The Marauders begin its second season as the Pirates High-A affiliate in Bradenton in April.
