BRADENTON – A new poll released by Gallup suggests that a majority of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents do not support the Tea Party.
The data showed that over the last four years the number of Republicans who identify themselves as Tea Party supporters has dropped by 1/3, while 11 percent of Republicans say they are actively against the Tea Party.
At its peak of popularity in November of 2010, 61 percent of Republicans supported the Tea Party movement.
