Sally Dell Harris, 76, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away on November 27, 2023. She was born on May 14, 1947, in Rochester, New York.
Sally was a dedicated and inspiring individual, known for her generosity, godliness, and selflessness. She inspired and motivated those around her, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Sally had a fulfilling career as a Registered Nurse. She used her skills and compassion to care for others, making a positive difference in the lives of her patients. She graduated from Syracuse University and attended Irvington High School during her educational journey.
In her free time, Sally enjoyed staying active through exercise and was an accomplished marathon runner, being the third fastest woman runner in Virgina for several years. She also found joy in gardening, visiting museums, taking care of her cats and most of all spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
Sally's faith was an essential part of her life, and she worshipped at Christ Episcopal Church. She found solace and strength in her religious community.
She is survived by her sisters, Marla Beebe and Joan Harris; daughters, Beverly DiMeo and Wendy Brown (Chuck); granddaughters, Gia Grace Costanzo, Emily Joy Brown, and Charlee Anna Brown. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Benjamin Harris and Marion Harris; niece, Dawn Christine, and nephew, J. Michael McGilligan.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Sally's life will be held 10 AM, Friday, December 15. 2023, at Christ Episcopal Church, located at 4030 Manatee Ave W, Bradenton, FL 34209. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to Cracker Box Palace (Animal Rescue) at 6450 Shaker Road, Alton, NY 14413. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209, is in charge of arrangements.
Sally Dell Harris will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her legacy of love and dedication will continue to inspire others.
