BRADENTON--State College of Florida fell to the Santa Fe Saints 93-88 at Hal Chasey Gym Tuesday night. It is the second straight loss for the Manatees (1-2) and fourth consecutive victory for the Saints (4-0).
Marko Djekovic led all scorers with 21 points, including 10-of-12 foul shots for Santa Fe. Chad Renfro and Jerome Clyburn each scored 16 points. Anthony Nwadigo added 14 and Mike Washington chipped in with 12.
The Manatees lead 45-39 at halftime, but Renfro connected on a trio of three pointers to open the second half to put Santa Fe in front. Clyburn and Djekovic made 8-of-9 from the line in the final minutes of the game to secure the win for the Saints.
The Manatees host Florida State College Jacksonville Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m.
