School District to Host Free College Aid Seminar at Palmetto High

BRADENTON – College isn't getting cheaper. In fact, tuition has consistently outpaced inflation, making financial aid an essential part of many students' dreams of higher education. Next Tuesday, the school district will hold a free seminar that aims to help students and families navigate the often confusing process. 

Seniors in Manatee District high schools and their parents who need help in preparing for the costs of college are invited to a free “Financial Aid Seminar” to be held in the auditorium at Palmetto High School at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2013.

The seminar will assist students and their families in understanding financial aid and how to complete federal and state applications for scholarships, grants and loans to help cover the rising cost of college. Palmetto High School is located at 1200 17th St W, Palmetto, FL 34221.
