BRADENTON – The Mets (15-12) hit four home runs and blanked the Marauders (14-13) 11-0 on Thursday night at McKechnie Field. Three Mets pitchers combined to hold the Marauders to three hits.

The Mets jumped in front on Cam Maron’s three-run home run in the first off Chad Kuhl (L, 3-2). Jairo Perez homered twice and added a double. T.J. Rivera capped the Mets home run spree with a blast off Robby Rowland in the eighth. All but one Mets run came on a home run.

Kuhl struck out three over five innings. Ryan Hafner and Robby Rowland each pitched two innings out of the bullpen.

Michael Fulmer (W, 1-1) tossed six scoreless innings to earn his first win of the season for St. Lucie. Paul Sewald pitched two innings and Jake Kuebler pitched one for the Mets.

Game two of the series is at 6:30 on Friday night. John Kuchno will take the mound in an attempt to end Bradenton’s four game skid. Gates open at 5:30.
