Stretch of Chin Road to be closed

Drivers will have to go the long way around as a stretch of Chin Road in Manatee County will be closed through mid-January.

Chin Road from U.S. 301 to Walden Loop will be closed from Dec. 1 to Jan. 18, the county said in a press release on Monday.

The detour route is to continue on U.S. 301 to Fort Hamer Road, then turn right on Old Tampa Road and right on Chin Road.
