BRADENTON – At a regular meeting following a workshop on Monday, the Palmetto City Commission will hold its first public hearing on an ordinance that would modify various flood regulations, including adopting new procedures and criteria for development in floodplain areas. On Tuesday, the BOCC will vote on whether to approve the Preliminary Site Plan for Long Bar Pointe during a regular meeting (a Manatee Port Authority meeting will take place during a recess at the BOCC meeting). The Manatee School Board will have a workshop (with presentations on the district's School Emergency Plan and on the process of placing students at Horizons Academy Elementary, Middle and High School) and regular meeting (with a progress report on the internal audit) that same day. The Bradenton City Council will convene on Wednesday evening for a regular meeting.
