This Week in Local Government: January 27-31, 2014

BRADENTON – On Monday, the Sarasota-Manatee MPO will hold a regular meeting (which includes a public hearing on FDOT's request to amend its Long Range Transportation Plan to extend the limits of the 15th Street Project Development and Environment northward to US 41), followed by a joint meeting with the Charlotte County-Punta Gorda MPO - all in Venice. One of the BOCC's public hearings during its Tuesday meeting will be on an amendment to county water and wastewater rates, fees and charges. At a regular meeting that night following a workshop, the Manatee School Board will hear details on the district's recent Budget and Planning Priority Community Survey, to be presented by the Citizens Budget Advisory Committee Board. Finally, the Bradenton City Council will meet for a workshop on Wednesday.
