This Week in Local Government: September 23-27, 2013

BRADENTON – It's another busy week for local government boards. The Sarasota/Manatee Metropolitan Planning Organization will gather for a meeting on Monday morning. The Manatee School Board will hold a public hearing on the district's Tentative Educational Facilities Plan during its regular meeting, after a workshop. The Palmetto City Commission will hold multiple public hearings the same night after its Monday afternoon workshop; the hearings include cancellation of two development agreements and another hearing on the installation of two all-way stops. During a regular meeting on Tuesday, the BOCC will hear updates on the county's water distribution system master plan project and its MCAT transit development plan. The Bradenton City Council will convene on Wednesday evening for a regular meeting.
