Danny E. Molter, 63, Bradenton, passed away June 3, 2014. Danny was born April 2, 1951 in Bradenton to the late Robert E. and Gloria (Shafer) Molter.

He was a life-long resident of Bradenton, and a graduate of Manatee High School. Danny was the founder and owner of Molter Pest Control in Bradenton for over 40 years, where he was a Certified Entomologist. He served with the Manatee County Sheriff’s office, formerly with Bradenton Police Department, past Director and Board member of the Gold Bank and American Banks in Bradenton.

Dan was a founding member, Past President and Board of Directors for the Manatee County 100 Club, President of the Florida 100 Club, member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Past Director and immediate Past President of Manatee River Fair Association, member of the Advisory Boards for the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, Salvation Army , and Florida Highway Patrol, Director with FELT “Feeding Empty Little Tummies”, Manatee High School Baseball Boosters, V.F.W.  Post 10141 Men’s Auxiliary, President of Manatee Social Club, and the First Baptist Church of Bradenton. Danny was also an inventor of which he was holding two patent, entrepreneur, avid bass fisherman and hunter.

Danny was predeceased by his son, Robert (Bobby) Alan Molter in 2013. He is survived by his beloved long-time companion, Denise Leavitt , one son, Danny E. Molter Jr., three daughters; Lori, Caryn and Mallory Molter, son-in-law; Danny Stott, sister, Sheila Lynn (Richard) McFarland ,  several grandchildren, step-mother; Faith Molter, and many extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 6, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at Shannon Funeral Home Westview Chapel, 5610 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton. A Celebration of Danny’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at West Bradenton Baptist Church, 1305 43rd St. W., Bradenton. Private Interment will take place at Mansion Memorial Park, Ellenton.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the Manatee High School Baseball Boosters, 6937 Arbor Oaks Circle, Bradenton, Fl. 34209 in his memory.

Rachel Anne (Rae) Nantista, 83, of Bradenton passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2014.  She was born in Ringgold, VA on February 21,1931, to the late Annie Mae and Jeff “Bass” Barker. Rae was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi who loved bridge and golf, but most of all her granddaughters.  She was never without her “Live, Love, Laugh” charm – a true reflection of her spirit.

Rae is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jimmy; a daughter Robin (Steve) Rowland of Parrish; a sister, Barbara Womack of Vernon Hill, VA and three cherished granddaughters, Rachel, Taylor and Jordan.


A Celebration of Life will be held at Westminster Manor, 1700 21st Av W, at 3:30 pm on Saturday, June 14th. Russell Charles Stock, 66, Bradenton, died June 4, 2014. Born in Meadville, PA he moved to Bradenton in 1988 from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. A retired US Navy Veteran, retiring after 21 years, he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Predeceased by mother, Alice M. (Coll) Stock; daughter, Jessica Marie Stock; survived by wife of 42 years, Rose Marie; daughter, Michelle Stuart; father, Charles J.; brother, Donald; sisters, Sherry Perny all of Bradenton, FL, Cindy Stevenson and Peggy Roller both of Tulsa, OK; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and son, Vernon.

JoAnn E. Hardenbrook, 83, Sarasota, passed away June 3, 2014 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.She leaves behind her devoted husband of 50 years, Charles; son, George Gaugler(New York); daughter,Karen(Wayne )Owings,(Kansas City);granddaughter, Kristin(Los Angeles).

She was preceded in death by son, Christopher in 1957.

Geraldine Nyland, 86, Bradenton, died June 3, 2014. Born in Lodi, NJ she moved to Bradenton in 1975 from Wayne, NJ. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Predeceased by husband, Donald; survived by daughters, Carol (Kenneth) Anderson of Sun City Center, FL and Donna (Dan) Freeman of Bradenton, FL; grandchildren, Shannan Burke, Kelly Onanian, Donny Freeman and Eddie Anderson; great grandchildren, Casey Fernandez, James Burke, Keontae Burke and Easton Freeman.

Anna Belle (Murrey)Taylor, 89, Bradenton, died June 3, 2014. Born in Ballangee, WV she moved to Florida in 1965 from Tiffin, OH and she was a Methodist.

Edward H. Beauchamp, 89, Ellenton, died May 31, 2014.

Francis E. Schmidt, 87, Bradenton, died Saturday, May 24, 2014. Born in Beal City, MI he moved to Bradenton in 1980 from Lansing, MI and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he was an usher for 30 years and he was a life member of Knights of Columbus.

Preceding him in death, daughters, Linda Schmidt, Roxanne Schmidt and Donna (Schmidt) Deter. Survived by wife of many years, Norma Schmidt; daughter, Judy (Felix) Malinowski; son, Thomas (Marsha) Schmidt; grandchildren, Jim Malinowski, Lisa (David) Czopek, Andrew Malinowski and Ryan Deter; step-children, Nancy (Mel) Clark, Linda Bissell, Marcia (Chuck) Buell and Coreen (Bill) Harder; 9 step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Frances P. Martin, 86, Bradenton, died May 31, 2014. Born in Danbury, CT she moved to Bradenton in 1988 from Houston, TX, was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Friends of the Library.

Survived by husband, William of Bradenton, FL; sons, James Scott (Marla) Martin of Roxbury, CT and Brian X of Arvada, CO; daughters, Cynthia A. Martin of Charlestown, RI, Andrea Lee (Holt) Ardrey of Katy, TX and Daly A. (Andrew) Bliven of N. Stonington, CT; brother, Michael McCarroll of New Milford, CT; sisters, Jeanne Hulton of New Milford, CT and Anne Adams of Bristol, CT; 5 grandchildren.
