Two Dead in Boating Incident on Ward Lake

BRADENTON — Officials are investigating a deadly boat crash in Manatee County after two bodies were found near the City of Bradenton's water treatment plant on Ward Lake.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said a deceased body was found behind the plant on Saturday, while a second body was found in the water nearby on Monday.

While few details have been released, FOX 13 reported that the FWC confirmed that the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office was also involved in investigating what is being called a single-vessel boating incident.
