BRADENTON -- Another arrest has been made in connection with the Napier Animal Sanctuary in east Manatee County. Dr. Edward E. Dunham was arrested at his home in Palmetto on Saturday.
Dr. Dunham was charged with aggravated animal cruelty. Dunham was the Napiers' long-time veterinarian.
Alan and Sheree Napier were arrested on Thursday.
The couple, who owned and operated the facility, were charged with 15 counts of aggravated animal cruelty that resulted from an investigation conducted after a raid of the sanctuary.
Over 300 animals were found living in putrid conditions, many of which had to be put down as a result.
