Warning: MAGA endorsements on voters guide are fake and not from the Republican Party

Posted

That Make America Great Again Voter Guide with the MAGA endorsements is the biggest scam sent to Republicans all over the State of Florida. In Manatee County, the Voter Guide is intended to mislead Republicans into believing that Governor Desantis and former President Trump have endorsed the candidates listed, all of whom are developer puppets.

The truth is that those "Voter Guides" were sent by Eric Robinson’s Venice-based PAC, Make America Great Again. Make America Great Again contracts with Anthony Pedicini’s company SIMWINS to develop the strategy and execute a campaign based on what most would call fraud. So far, this developer PAC has spent almost half a million dollars sending out mailers and text messages. These mailers have no endorsements by former President Trump with the exception of Representative Vern Buchanan. However, the Voter Guide has Trump's picture above the banner “Is Proud To Have Endorsed.” They are trying to fool Republicans with this very misleading Pedicini designed mailer and texts they are sending out.

Notice the small PC after Make America Great Again on the guide and disclaimer that states the “Publication is Independent of the Republican Party of Florida.” If it was really meant to be independent, then why did the Pac use the logos of both the local and state Republican parties? Of course, you know the answer. It was to deceive Republican voters like you and me. Once again, most people would agree this is fraud at its finest, but no one is held accountable unless you, as a voter, boot out those developer cronies.

A PAC can be created by filling out and submitting some simple forms. It is usually only two people: a treasurer and a chairperson. In the case of Make America Great Again, the chairperson is Alex Levy. After the PAC is formed, they can accept and spend unlimited dollars. According to Anthony Pedicini, the State of Florida allows the Pacs to coordinate with candidates. Make America Great Again receives most of its money from developers.

I wanted to share this because some people have told me they were voting for candidates because Make America Great Again endorsed them, and they figured this meant they were good, conservative candidates. There are so many scams in Florida, and this is just another one. If the PAC were titled correctly, it would be called Make Developers More Money or maybe Let’s Fool the Republicans Again. The PAC Make America Great Again has nothing to do with the emotions you feel if you are part of the mindset of Trump’s Make America Great Again platform.

It is so upsetting that smart, educated people fall for these cheap tricks. I know we all want to believe what we are sent by what appears to be a legitimate organization and something we feel is a great cause. I don’t blame the people who believe this, but all I can tell you is it is a fraud game.

Pedicini, with Simwins, runs the campaigns of all the commissioners except Kruse. Pedicini also runs the campaign of Satcher, our anointed Supervisor of Elections. He polls the voters, picks the hot-button issues, and markets to your emotions. Think illegal immigrants, Biden, and DC liberals. All I know is if we don’t stop voting based on a mailer, actually over 20 mailers by so-called conservatives, then we will get the same wasteful spending elected officials that eliminated our wetland protections and ignored our infrastructure needs just so that these developers using fraudulent mailers can make a few extra million dollars.

Vote smart! The Bradenton Times has produced a primary voting guide for learning about these candidates before voting. Please take the time to research the people before you vote. As Republicans, we need to vote for elected officials who represent us when it comes to wetlands, clean water, and managing this uncontrolled growth.

As a citizen that believes in public service and good government, I am grateful for the Bradenton Times and the light they shine to expose what has become a corrupt County government and the greedy individuals that are pulling the strings so they continue to get wealthy at the expense of our environment and quality of life. The role of journalism and dogged reporting of facts can't be understated. Thank you!
